Privacy Policy

DESIGNOSS respects your privacy. This page explains what information is collected when you visit designoss.no, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. We collect the minimum needed to do the work, and we are transparent about every step.

2. What information is collected

2.1 Contact form

When you submit the contact form on designoss.no, the following is collected:

• Your name
• Your brand or company name
• Your email address
• Which package interests you
• The message you write

2.2 Analytics and marketing cookies

With your consent, two services run in the background to help DESIGNOSS understand how the site performs:

• Google Analytics 4 — measures page views, traffic sources, and broad audience patterns. No personally identifying information is collected.
• Meta Pixel — measures conversions from Meta (Facebook, Instagram) ads and allows tailored remarketing to people who have visited the site.

Both services use cookies. They only run if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics or marketing cookies are stored, and no data is sent to these services.

2.3 Hosting logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request URL) for short periods to operate the service and prevent abuse. These logs are not used for marketing.

3. Why this information is collected

• Contact form data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if a working relationship develops, to manage the project and any related invoicing.
• Analytics data is used to understand which content works and to improve the website.
• Marketing data is used to measure ad performance and reach people who have shown interest in DESIGNOSS.
• Hosting logs are used to keep the site running and secure.

4. Legal basis

Under Article 6 of the GDPR:

• Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (you choose to submit it) and, after first contact, on the basis of legitimate interest in pursuing the inquiry you started.
• Analytics and marketing cookies are processed only with your explicit consent, which you give through the cookie banner. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• Hosting logs are kept on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

5. Who processes the data

The following third parties process data on behalf of DESIGNOSS:

• Formspree, Inc. (United States) — receives and forwards contact form submissions. Privacy policy
• Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosts the website and keeps server logs. Privacy policy
• Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4 and Google Fonts. Privacy policy
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — provides Meta Pixel. Privacy policy

For transfers outside the EU/EEA, the providers above use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to safeguard your data.

6. How long the data is kept

• Contact form messages are kept for up to two years after the last meaningful contact, then deleted, unless a longer retention is required by tax or accounting law.
• Invoicing data is kept for five years as required by Norwegian bookkeeping law (Bokføringsloven §13).
• Analytics data is kept by Google for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• Marketing data is kept by Meta according to its policies, typically up to 180 days.
• Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for short operational periods, typically 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access your data — ask what is stored about you.
• Rectification — correct anything inaccurate.
• Erasure — ask that your data is deleted ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict processing — pause use of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
• Object — refuse processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, with no penalty, for example by clearing cookies or contacting us.

To use any of these rights, write to silvana@designoss.no. You will get a reply within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet): datatilsynet.no.

8. Cookies

The site uses only two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary — none currently. The site itself does not use cookies for its basic operation.
• Analytics & marketing — Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, loaded only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.

You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies for designoss.no — the banner will reappear and you can decide again.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date at the top. Material changes will be announced visibly on the site.
